This Rendezvous combines the love sailing AND the love of fine music
Last weekend in November

This is the website: Queenscliff Music Festival
Come down to Queenscliff on Friday or Saturday
The Sailing Side:
Depart Williamstown as required to enter the Queenscliff cut at 17:00, on Friday.
You choose whether to berth at QCYC or at Queenscliff Harbour.
You WILL need to book individually and book well in advance to get a berth, so do this NOW.
How to Enter:
This is a Club Event and you will need to enter the event on-line
Click here: SS rendezvous Online Entry
or follow the RYCV website menus to cruising>on-line entry.
This is important because it ensures that participants are known to the club, are insured and have completed a safety declaration. Also, it enables YOU to show that your boat is active, which is important to hold your pen inthe marina.
Each boat will be responsible for purchasing their own festival tiockets and berthing.
The club will ask for a small fee ($30) via the online entry. This money goes toward the club's sailing activities, administrative costs and prizes.
AYF Safety Category 5 is recommended for this event.
Please report departure and arrival by sending a text to the event Coordinator
This event will be coordianted by:
Richard Burgess. 0419 531 955
Please also text if entered and not going
Boats should ALWAYS monitor VHF ch 16 while underway. Inter-boat communications shall be conducted in accordance with standard VHF procedures. (call on channel 16 and then switch to a working channel)
A prize will be awarded in a completely arbitrary fashion to the boat that arrives closest to the Rendezvous time. SS Rendezvous encourages good passage planning. Extra points for the most impressive cheese spread.
Clever passage planners will study Port Phillip Tidal Streams via this link.
The return cruise is Sunday or Monday as you see fit. I highly recommend trying the Coles Channel - it is much more scenic.
The festival goes from Friday ev ening to Sunday afternoon.
Boats choosing to sail down on Saturday can purchase tickets for just Saturday evening (from 18:00), or for Saturday evening and Sunday. please see qmf.net.au for ticket information .
New Brunette will be at Queenscliff Harbour from Friday until Monday (just Jen - Andy will be in Antarctica) to catch the whole festival.
I highly recommend attending the festival. If you get the chance to ride the Blues Train, it will be one of the more memorable musical experiences, I guarantee.
Hope to see many RYCV boats in Queenscliff on this very fun weekend
